Understanding Financial Aid Packages, Student Loans, & Outside Scholarships

Each and every year, after admissions decisions have been released, NHI receives calls from students and parents about not qualifying for or receiving enough financial aid to attend college or the college of their dreams. 

For the families that make these calls to NHI, there is little--if anything in some cases--that can be done about changing a financial aid package before May 1st (the national college response deadline).

The time to prepare for and access financial options for college needs to happen at the beginning of senior year, not the end of it.

The first session will cover financial aid basics (definitions and how to prepare and apply for financial aid).  

In the second session, we will review sample financial aid packages and discuss student loans and outside scholarships.
