The National Hispanic Institute at Las Vegas is a growing community of young leaders committed to shaping the future of our city and beyond. Since its launch, the program has brought together high-achieving students from across the region to develop leadership skills, explore bold ideas, and build lifelong networks. Through NHI's innovative programs, Las Vegas students step into spaces where their voices matter, their ideas thrive, and their potential becomes limitless.

We are a committed group of NHI alumni actively serving the Las Vegas metro region with the intent of engaging high ability youth in leadership development and preparing students to serve in future community leadership roles. Sands renews partnership with NHI to develop leaders in Las Vegas

Sands partnered with NHI in 2022 and has continued to support both our organization and the Las Vegas community ever since. The launch of the Las Vegas program represents a significant step in the relationship NHI has been building with the community. In 2017, Rancho High School in Las Vegas was named NHI’s High School of the Year, in part to honor the region’s developing relationship with NHI. Separately, Sands had identified NHI as a model program at the national level with success in communities across the country and began discussions with NHI to bring the program to Las Vegas. Today, Sands not only serves as a key partner in expanding NHI’s presence, but also provides scholarships for Las Vegas students to attend NHI programs and covers transportation costs for participants traveling to the California Sol Great Debate.
